Contemporary Napped Throw Wyeth Falls

Contemporary Napped Throw Wyeth Falls

Crafted in historic US mills using generations-old weaving techniques, this wool throw reflects the enduring craftsmanship for which Pendleton is known. Warm, durable, and timeless, it’s designed to bring lasting comfort to the home while carrying a strong connection to the landscapes of the American West.

Inspired by Nathaniel Wyeth’s 1834 journey west to the Oregon territories, this design pays tribute to a section of the historic Oregon Trail that still lives on today along the Columbia River Gorge. His route, spanning part of the broader 2,170-mile trail, is echoed in the modern-day hiking paths that wind through this dramatic landscape. The woven pattern captures the movement of the region’s waterfalls, with cascading geometric forms representing Emerald Falls and the two-tiered Gorton Creek Falls. Feather-edged motifs reference the dense rainforest vegetation that surrounds the trail, bringing a sense of natural rhythm and texture to the design.
